Overall responsibility for the regions sales, third party alliances, and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across all products and product lines.

Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division.

Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans. Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis. Manages escalation.

Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team. Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas or sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications.

Minimum five or more years sales or sales management experience within technology industry. Ability to hire and train new sales representatives. Ability to resolve customer satisfaction issues.

Demonstrated leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to large and small audiences. Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions.

* Our Regional Manager will be responsible for 7 direct reports as well as new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory.

Our regional manager will work with their account team to identify, qualify and deliver Cloud Infrastructure products/solutions. They will be responsible for the account plan to drive goal attainment in assigned team territory. They will ensure that the company's sales programs are known and executed in assigned territory, including personal follow-up and engagement in selected opportunities.
*

The Regional Manager will coordinate with the other members of the sales team (employees and partners as well as System Integrators) to support account sales and business development strategies; helping to identify and engage the appropriate partner to meet customer specifications.
* They will become a trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision makers.
* The Regional Manager will be responsible to aid the team in achieving or exceeding the quarterly and annual sales goals.

They will follow all companies' methodologies and processes related to sales opportunity pursuit.
* The team will sell integrated solutions into existing State, Local Government and Higher Ed customers and net new business units within accounts. The primary focus is on private cloud and Hybrid cloud solutions leveraging our engineered systems to support large State, Local Government and Higher Ed programs.

Product Portfolio includes Enterprise-class Private/Public Cloud solutions, x86/SPARC hardware and Engineered Systems: Exadata, SuperCluster, & Big Data Appliance. Proficiency in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, OS, Database, Applications, HPC, Storage, and Virtualization, IaaS and Cloud.
* The Regional Manager should be skilled in the government and higher ed procurement cycles and state contracting vehicles and processes.

Experience in Complex Deal/Capture Management Expertise; Finance, Pricing and Contracts Background a plus.
* This role will travel frequently due to the size of the territory.
* Preferred Requirements*.10+ years experience selling into State & Local (SLED)*.
