Full Stack Developer, Sales & Distribution Architecture, Distribution TechnologyFull-Time, Springfield, MA/Boston, MA/New York, NYThe OpportunityAs a Full Stack Developer on the Wealth & Distribution Technology Architecture team, you will work with a team of skilled and knowledgeable peers who cooperate to design and shape solutions across the sales & distribution value stream. The TeamThe Sales & Distribution Architecture team is a shared service that supports various support & delivery organizations that facilitate our two main distribution channels.

The ImpactThe role involves staying updated on the industry and using that knowledge to make sure we are creating, designing, and developing solutions that align with our future business goals. As a Full Stack Developer, you'll work with other experienced technology experts to deliver solutions that improve our business processes. You will use your excellent communication skills, as well as your enthusiasm for learning, leadership qualities, resilience, and self-awareness.In this role, you will be expected to:Partner with Solution Architects & Development Teams to translate architecture to design/code-level execution.Partner with development teams to provide hands-on guidance with design, development, testing, and deploying web applications using a variety of technologies, such as React, Node.
js, MongoDB, GraphQL, etc.Collaborate with developers, architects, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products that meet user needs and business goals.Optimize the performance, security, and scalability of the applications, using best practices and industry standards.
Research and learn new technologies and tools and share your knowledge and insights with the team.Typical day-to-day responsibilities include:Strong partnership & collaboration with Solutions ArchitectsContribute to governed architecture artifacts, including Solution, Decisions, Strategies and Roadmaps.Hands-on collaboration with development teamsProject Team Meetings, status, planning, requirement reviews, etc.
Participation in Design & Code ReviewsParticipation Architecture/Design Decisions & Technology EvaluationsAwareness Industry Trends, Research, POC, ToolsParticipation in Test Plan ReviewsParticipation in Production Support Transition ReviewsContribute to our architecture community by attending and participating in Architecture & Design Roundtables, Architecture Review Boards, and Solution Architecture Guild meetings.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field8+ years of professional experience as a full stack developer, working on web applications in the financial services industry.1+ year strong knowledge and skills in front-end development, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.
1+ year strong knowledge and skills in back-end development, using Node.js, Express, MongoDB, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, etc.1+ year experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
, and DevOps tools, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.1+ year experience with testing frameworks and tools, such as Jest, Mocha, Chai, Cypress, etc.2+ years of experience in sales & distribution related business processes and technologies, including at least one of the following sub-domains: Marketing, Wealth Management, Distribution Management, Incentive Management (compensation, recognition), Broker Dealer Administration, Insurance Distribution.
Preferred QualificationsAWS Certifications10+ design & development experience including frontend, backend, database, and Integration technologies preferred.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Passion for learning new technologies and keeping up with the latest trends in web development.
Strong knowledge of data modeling and ETL development including development patterns, and best practicesStrong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment including employees, vendors, and third-party contractors.Excellent mentoring skills and the desire to contribute to efforts beyond the scope of the day-to-day project work.Proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members.
Experience in AWS cloud application design, development, and deployment.Experience with event streaming and web service protocols like SOAP, REST, JSON, or Kafka Experience with data development, including database design, modeling, ETL and scheduling.General working knowledge of insurance data, investment data and/or financial dataExperience in working with and enabling integrations with vendor/SaaS platforms.
Can do attitude, with the ability to drive to success in both independent and group projects. Able to be agile in thinking and approach to solve the problem at hand.Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results quickly in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
