Global Security Operations Manager San Mateo, CA This position has high visibility and is directly accountable for the effective and efficient management of the SIE Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and its team of operators. The SIE GSOC monitors threats and security issues globally for all SIE sites and provides crisis response notifications and coordination for leaders of the SIE management structure. The GSOC Manager will manage day-to-day activities in the Global Security Operations Center and oversee and monitor the effectiveness of contract GSOC personnel. Responsibilities:. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the SIE Global Security Operations Center in San Mateo, CA. Set requirements and standards and monitor the performance of the GSOC against mission objectives. Serve as the key point of contact for monitoring, analyzing and interpretation of risks and threats that may affect the business.. Planning and providing strategic direction in order to ensure that the GSOC is delivering maximum value to the company and its global operations.. Ensure the GSOC is adequately staffed with qualified personnel and that shift schedules are developed and coverage of critical operations maintained.. Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for personnel assigned to the GSOC to facilitate effective performance requirements.. Evaluate the effectiveness of the GSOC by conducting regular training and exercises.. Develop a program for maintenance and troubleshooting of software systems with a focus on preventative maintenance and early detection of potential issues.. Provide early detection of potential security or systems issues and assist in identifying new technologies and upgrades for existing systems.. Assume full responsibility for identifying and scheduling all appropriate certifications and inspections of the GSOC, its systems, personnel and functions and ensure procedures and protocols are in place that enable the timely and effective response.. Minimum five (5) years managing a Security Operations Center, Security Communications Center, security/alarm monitoring center or other closely related operation.. Work history must include each of the following:. Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency; able to delegate tasks, and communicate to a range of audiences including to executive management. Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, monitoring of assets, and making rapid notifications via mass communication tools. Documented experience and competency in security systems such as badge access control, camera monitoring, threat reporting, and emergency notification.. Demonstration of strong computer skills (hardware, software & network operations) with the ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals.
