AMD together we advance_THE ROLE:This Role is part of system software - virtualization team, contributing to Linux GPU Virtualization software development and integration. This Role will focus on Xen Hypervisor, Linux GPU SW and functional safety sw stack development.THE PERSON:Person with below skills would be successful for this roleCollaboration - Need to work with multiple teamsCommunication and Responsibility KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Contributing to the architecture and design of the overall embedded software stack for virtualization & multimedia solutions.

Optimizing the solutions developed for performance and designing them for scalability.Developing GPU Virtualization Stack using Hypervisor (Xen)Developing Bare Metal and/or Linux drivers for GPU SW components using AMD-Xilinx SOCs.Developing Heterogeneous memory Management solutions for Asynchronous Multi-processing platforms.

Work with different teams to identify problems and create solutionsDelivering software solutions in line with product roadmap on time with high quality.Involved in cross function team interaction and engagement with various key player and stakeholders in the organization.Play a role in all the phases of software development, from requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and final release to customers.

Provide clear and timely communication related to status and other key aspects of the project to leadership team.Responsible for working with customers and internal support teams for resolving critical customer escalations on need basis.Good understanding of software development life cycle stages - design, implementation, documentation and testing of software code implementing product features and requirementsWillingness to learn skills, tools and methods to advance the quality, consistency, and timeliness of AMD-Xilinx software products.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Experience with C/C+, Embedded systems and Linux kernel/driver development for multi-processor heterogeneous systems.Experience with hypervisors and Virtualization stackExperience with GPU software development. OpenGL, OpenGLES, Vulkan and OpenSC API integration and application development.

Experience with Linux kernel driver developmentYou must be capable of working in a dynamic, high pressure environmentExperience with ARM Mali GPU SW stack & Xen Hypervisor is an added advantageACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:Preferred BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related equivalent.
Location:San Jose, Ca.At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
