The support technician is responsible for restoring the end user's device to full operability when an incident occurs that renders the hardware unstable, damaged, destroyed, or exhibits degraded performance. Restoration includes the correction of hardware faults via repair or replacement (in case of loss or damage), configuration of software loads, and transfer of user data to replacement device.Tasks will typically be assigned to technicians via a ticketing system, but Technicians will respond to phone calls, email requests or customer walk-ins.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:+ Schedule and perform on-site visits to client to set up and troubleshoot equipment+ Assist customers with all technology-related moves/adds/changes+ Configure, install, and maintain IT users' desktop software and hardware including current versions of Windows, Mac and MS Office products+ Troubleshoot PC/MAC issues remotely+ Troubleshoot general network infrastructure problems including networking equipment, printers, PC/Server hardware, etc.+ Escalate to 2nd and 3rd level support on server-related problems+ Learn about and apply proven and emerging technologies (Azure, Windows Server, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, VMware, Cisco networking, etc.)+ Responsible for documenting solutions to problems and developing end-user guidelines+ Other duties may be added as definedRequired Qualifications/Skills:+ Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components including MAc's and PC's+ Knowledge of computer peripherals and ability to diagnose problems+ Experience in computer repair and networking+ Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles+ Excellent troubleshooting skills+ Excellent communication abilities+ Exceptional organizing and time-management skills+ High School Diploma (Associates Degree preferred)TechMD is an employee-centric company, committed to providing premier benefits that support our employees and their families.
