Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking qualified individuals for a new role within our team as a Project Manager. This position is located in Roy, Utah.Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Oversees and manages the technical and IT related needs of the FST and PLT IPTs and servers as a liaison between the ESS and IDE organizations. Assesses IT related project issues and develops resolutions to meet FST and PLT specific IPT needs. Demonstrates knowledge and best practices for IT related technologies and processes used throughout Northrop Grumman and GBSD while maintaining a focus on the IPT's specific requirements and needs.
Communicate IT related technology detail in a non-technical manner to program IPT leaders and management. Ability to successfully work on and deliver multiple projects simultaneously either independently or within a small team. Able to understand enterprise scale systems built on Microsoft technologies and related 3rd party software used by FST and PLT, both on premises and cloud-based environments.
Manages NG on-boarding experience for suppliers for the IPTs. Manages software procurement and standup for the IPTs. Develops and manages the SharePoint site for the IPTs.
Leads cross functional planning and special projects on behalf of the IPTs.
