Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an AVE Flight Systems Architecture Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below.

What you'll get to do:
  • Work with both the Program and lower-level Element Teams to develop and mature the AVE MBSE/Cameo architecture content
  • Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements (DOORS) for the system and make sure that that they are properly represented in the model
  • Work with teammates across a wide variety of disciplines and get intimately familiar with all aspects of the Missile
  • Develop missile flight systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical)
  • Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts
  • Contribute to system requirements development and analysis
  • Prepare for internal milestone and customer CDR reviews
  • Represent AVE at the program-level model governance working group
  • Communicate and train other systems engineering teams on modeling procedures
  • Audit AVE Architecture model for compliance with model procedures
  • Take content through the configuration management
  • Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)

You'll bring these qualifications:
This position may be filled at a Systems Engineer level or Principal Systems Engineer level
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
  • A minimum 2 years of related experience with a BS degree; or 1 year with a Master's (Principal level requires 5 years with a BS; 3 with an MS; or 1 with a PhD)
  • Minimum 1 year working in requirements management tools (eg DOORS)
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (granted or renewed within the last 6 years) and ability to obtain special access clearance
These qualifications would be nice to have:
  • Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture or MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Experience with DoDAF and UPDM or UAF Profiles
  • Experience using DOORS (IBM Rational)
  • Experience with complex system development on large programs
  • Experience with flight hardware
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

Salary Range: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
