Responsible for health and safety of themselves and coworkers Create and implement global Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods Create, improve, and implement meaningful visual management systems to measure equipment and production area performance Own and refine SPC standards for production. Monitor and report on actual performance to standards and help understand and resolve deviations.
Ensure alignment between all ASC sites relative to the standards. Work with engineering experts to implement and apply SPC at the shop floor level. Develop site engineering knowledge on the standards and manufacturing control systems.
Identify opportunities for improvement projects and lead them through the gated implementation process in alignment with internal and external commitments. Support development and implementation of process improvement projects focused on reducing cost, improving quality, improving safety. Develop and support training programs for direct labor force Supervisory responsibility: No Qualifications/Characteristics Knowledge:. BS Engineering degree.
5+ years direct experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering. Experience with Statistical Process Control and 6 sigma methods. Experience with manufacturing of fiber/epoxy composites preferred.
Direct experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment in alignment with AS9100 Skills and Abilities:. Application of statistics and Six Sigma tools to understand and solve problems. Proven experience with data analysis of key manufacturing metrics to drive decisions 3+ years of work experience in data related fields in a manufacturing, process developing, or engineering environment Tooling/fixture design utilizing CAD/CAM software (Solid works or equivalent), understanding of the fundamentals, a plus. Use of SAP ERP system.

Occasionally positions self to move an office item >10 lbs Frequently move about the production floor and office area to attend meetings or trainings. Frequently operates a computer, enters data into systems, verifies information, etc Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts Ability to travel ~15% of the time and be available 24/7 as business situations required.
