The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office.Department ProfileWealth Managements Core Platform Services group provides horizontal services to all Wealth management Development Teams. Our mission is to provide stable and scalable infrastructure and technology solutions for entire Wealth Management.

We serve as a centralized interface through which Wealth Management teams can obtain infrastructure solutions and project support by working closely with application owners throughout the SDLC process to ensure that established products/services are leveraged, and new requirements are fulfilled.Qualifications - ExternalOwnership of maintenance and future roadmap for Snowflake platform to help achieve Morgan Stanley its business goals with optimized and cost-effective ways. The role also demands the ability to successfully work with global teams in US and India.

Person should have necessary soft skills to manage difficult situations involving technical issues, demanding Clients, escalations and being a team player.Key Responsibilities:* Snowflake database platform ownership and technical point of contact for all applications on Snowflake data warehouseResponsible for migration of applications from Hadoop to Snowflake. Knowledge of HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Oozie, Pig, Dataiku, Collibra, Neo4j tools is a needed.

* Responsible for new application on-boarding in Data warehouse (Teradata + Snowflake) by reviewing requirement and design.* Assist existing and new applications to come up with most optimized and suitable solutions for their requirement* Design and review cost effective solution for application teams* L3 point of contact for issues related to Snowflake database* Performance tuning and optimization for application process and queries* Process optimization with the help of automation and new utility development* Work in collaboration with Snowflake vendor and Cloud fleets to fix issues and design new solutions* Proactive performance review to reduce cost and optimize platform usage* Effective workload management to meet business SLAs in optimized and cost-effective manner* Plan and execute system upgrade and enhancementsred Skills:* Strong Snowflake architecture and development skills* Good Understanding of Big Data framework, tools and NoSQL, ETL/ELT, Teradata, Azure Data Bricks architecture* Should be familiar with the best practices and tricks around the Snowflake tools and utilities tool* Should have strong hands-on experience on Snowflake performance tuning concepts like Micros Partitions, Pruning, clustering, scale up, scale out* Strong with SQL logic and different qualifiers usage* Working knowledge of ADLS, Pyspark/Java/SQL* Good UNIX knowledge.* Familiarity with Informatica Cloud, Hadoop and Tableau will be preferred.

* Knowledge on any Azure cloud ecosystem would be preferred* Good analytical ability* Strong collaboration and communication skills* Must possess strong leadership skills and should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to create and maintain a positive environment of shared success.* Ability to execute and prioritize a large number of tasks and resolve issues without aid from direct manager or project sponsor.Primary skills: Azure cloud, Hadoop, Snowflake, Teradata, ETL/ELT, Azure Data Bricks, Pyspark, SQL and ADLSGood to have skills: Informatica, Tableau, MongoDB is a plusExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment.

However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programsField: Production Management and Operational Support.
