Sr. Solution Architect Job Description Kimberly-Clark is on a mission to transform to be a data driven and AI-First company. We are looking for a strong Senior Solution Architect position in our Global Data Science and AI Delivery Organization.
The position will report to a Manager in the DTS Supply Chain Analytics Delivery team. We are looking for a proven Solution Architect with a strong customer-centric mindset, solid background in innovation, creating and delivering data engineering solutions, driving growth, and collaborating across the company to accelerate incubation and delivery of new data engineering-based business capabilities across Kimberly-Clark's businesses. As part of Supply Chain Analytics team, the Solution Architect is primarily responsible for integrating business, information, and technology architecture to create solutions for all capabilities within the Supply Chain Analytics portfolio.
This person will architect and lead delivery of analytics capabilities and features working closely with a globally dispersed team of developers and engineers. This role is a solution innovator/generator, and an expert in complex analytical and digital platform environments, encompassing both supply chain business process understanding and technical expertise. The Senior Solution Architect is a transformative, collaborative, and inspirational leader with deep expertise, a passion for coaching, leading and inspiring cross functional teams to solve business challenges, create solutions and deliver business value while working conjointly with the respective discipline leaders representing each line of business and functional areas across Kimberly-Clark.
Your responsibilities will include the following:. Leads in designing innovative, technical solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems. Has strong knowledge in business and technical functions that are touch points with their area of expertise Transform requirements into architecture and blueprint diagrams for the solution being created.
Conversion that is based on several factors: historically successful design patterns, reference architectures and enterprise architecture guidelines. Understands business functions and able to construct a solution architecture around APIs, and able to decompose monolith applications into meaningful implementable APIs in a DevOps environment. Provide technology perspective to business to help guide road mapping and prioritization by keeping abreast with industry trends.
Help business size the complexity of problem and help simplify and define MVPs. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, throughout the entire SDLC/Agile process. Get Business, development team's buy-in for the proposed design to be implemented.
Ensure the solution architecture aligns with the roadmaps established by the enterprise architecture, and that it adheres to enterprise architecture principles. Act as a bridge between Enterprise/Application Architecture and Lead the delivery. Act as a consumer and contributor to enterprise architecture collateral.
The patterns and guidance developed should be reusable in a broader enterprise architecture context. Document and manage multiple applications that are poised to work together, by defining the interaction between application packages, databases, and middleware systems in terms of functional coverage. Creates required solution delivery blueprints including but not limited to application diagrams, physical architecture, process diagrams, sequence diagrams, systems maps, service interfaces, technical interfaces, data modelling, integration planning, and detailed build estimates Ability to understand logical and physical data model concepts.
Collaborates closely with multiple teams of highly talented, data wranglers, functional engineers, data engineers, data architects, data modelers and visualization engineers aimed at delivering projects reliably against projected roadmap timelines You will play a key role in determining the technical assets needed to evolve business needs, data engineering design practices, frameworks, and other methodologies to be adopted and maintained to accelerate business value. Influences and moves the K-C culture to one that values and uses cross-business and functional data and analytics to deliver insights that power business performance. Qualifications and experience:.
8+ years as a senior or principal Architect (or equivalent role) working on large-scale projects and architecture with hands-on experience with Cloud platforms and architecture. Bachelor's, Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MBA or related fields. Solid experience on security solutions, in terms of architecture design and implementation.
Experience in driving solutions on Azure cloud, building data lakes, adopting cloud-native architecture, distributed computing architecture, and optimal data organization and semantic modeling for business needs. Experience and thorough understanding of data wrangling and data processing languages and tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, Scala, and PySpark is required. Design and Develop Restful API/Webservices on cloud platform (Azure) for service and consumption.
Knowledge on Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks is imperative. DevOps and CICD knowledge eg, ADO, Git, Jenkins, Docker, unit test- and Test-driven development. Azure DevOps preferred. Ability to go deep technically on data architecture and solutions are best suited to specific business and customer problems, as well as elevate your thinking to consider business and strategic implications Ability to facilitate thoughtful and constructive conversations within and outside the team and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively Strong analytical skills to effectively create recommendations, influence decision-making, assess impacts, compare solutions, problem solve, and achieve business and/or technical objectives Broad range of business and IT experiences; has achieved technical and/or business certification(s).
Basic functional knowledge in key CPG supply chain capabilities is helpful (Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Order Management, Logistics, Operations) Ability to learn quickly (technology, business capability, target industries). Entrepreneurial spirit and a vibrant personality. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
Strong analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills. Experience leading and executing cross functional projects.
