For more information, please visit Responsibilities Guidehouse Insights is a client-facing emerging technology market research and advisory group helping technology vendors, service providers, and investors identify growth opportunities in the decarbonized economy. Guidehouse Insights delivers customized market research and consulting projects-helping our clients leverage market research to make strategic decisions and engage their customers.

The Research Analyst will function at the Guidehouse Senior Consultant staff level supporting Guidehouse Insights. The Research Analyst should demonstrate qualitative and quantitative research expertise with an emphasis on synthesize insights, data, and trends from a variety of sources to develop strategic analysis that will become the foundation of Guidehouse Insights research programs across distributed energy, built infrastructure, mobility, electric vehicles, storage, microgrids and renewable energy technologies. The Research Analyst will collect, streamline, and draw insights; conduct analysis to develop acumen as Subject Matter Experts; and develop deliverables across different research programs through content creation.

As such the Research Analyst should have a strong business acumen and the ability to leverage a wide array of data and research analysis techniques to develop innovative recommendations. The ideal Analyst is passionate about different secondary and primary research approaches, interpreting data, providing thought leadership/insights, and making recommendations in line with business goals. This includes contributing to a research roadmap, managing the collection and analysis of market data, and supporting custom research projects.

The suitable Research Analyst will analyze various commercial, policy and regulatory issues that impact emerging energy transition technologies. The Research Analyst develops a reputation within the energy industry and is actively engaged in collaborating and conducting analytical research and writing, consistently delivers work of the highest quality, within budget and on time. Core Responsibilities: + Collecting, synthesizing, and translating information from varied sources into cohesive commentary on the market size potential and impacts of technology trends + Authoring research reports, white papers, and other professional literature for a variety of audiences within the energy transition sectors across power, buildings and transportation verticals + Producing quantitative analyses and market forecasts + Conducting interviews with representatives from technology manufacturers, standards organizations, and industry stakeholders + Marketing subscription services and expertise via press interactions, conference presentations, contributed articles to industry publications, and blogs + Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision + Timeline and accuracy of output to be maintained all the time Qualifications + A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in journalism, business, economics, engineering or related disciplines and following experience for staff level consideration: 2-5 years relevant utilities/energy industry experience including relationships with relevant utilities industry players + No sponsorship is available for this position + Currently reside in the United States Preferred Qualifications: + Naturally curious and passionate about numbers, data, insights and applications + Excellent communication skills; able to interact stakeholders at different levels and present take-away insights + Capable of anticipating potential issues/problems and developing solutions when needed + Experience working on large datasets in MS Excel + Experience working on Word, Powerpoint, Reports and Corporate Slide decks Additional Requirements + The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
