Senior Python/Data Engineer - Leading Investment Bank - VP

We're working closely with a leading European Investment Bank in London, who are currently looking to hire a Senior Python developer with strong experience building scalable and reliable data infrastructure to work in their Global Data Science group.

It's a small and dynamic team with big responsibilities, looking for someone who can provide value from day one, helping to design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines to ensure the availability and integrity of financial market data. The team collects data from various sources on a systematic basis and the candidate is required to have a strong focus in automation and scalability.

The successful applicant will have:

• Strong Python skills
• Good understanding of SQL, NoSQL
• Kubernetes experience
• Understanding across MongoDB/Oracle/PostgreSQL
• Good communication skills
• Experience working on large-scale data storage projects

Further desirable skills (not essential but nice to have):

• Unix/Linux
• Tableau/PowerBI
• Exposure to cloud platforms - eg AWS, Azure
• Financial experience - especially market data feeds and financial data providers

This is a permanent hire, flexible around VP level salary bandings, and offering hybrid working. There is currently headcount for TWO hires into this team, so applicants welcome from a variety of levels.
