Senior Financial Analyst, Procurement

The Sr. Financial Analyst III, Sourcing Analytics is responsible for providing analytical insights to firm initiatives which typically involve third party relationships. As part of the Sourcing office, this role includes utilization of key Sourcing and Financial systems which maintain data and documentation related to third party relationships.

In this role, the Sr. Financial Analyst III, Sourcing Analytics must:
  • Drive analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights that drive cost savings and avoidance in negotiations while balancing risks and timelines. Includes advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and complex financial modeling.
  • Identify critical tasks, dependencies, and decisions needed to achieve an end deliverable.
  • Develop verbal & written presentation of analyses, as well as presentation of firm financial information including impacts and analytical insights to senior Firm leaders.
  • Inform and educate other business areas as to the financial impact of decisions, as well as recommending an optimal or preferred solution to influence strategic direction.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage relationships to gather critical information and influence key decisions. This involves communication and coordination both within and outside the organization.
  • Proactively identify opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and recommend and influence the implementation of solutions
  • Participate in cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional and firm-wide business objectives; occasionally lead cross-functional teams responsible for divisional objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of firm results, key business drivers, and an understanding of key strategies and priorities of the business to apply business knowledge to analytic approach in order to address business questions
  • Ability to learn rapidly, quickly adapt and achieve results in ambiguous situations where there is often no precedent
  • Ability to collaborate well with associates and leadership throughout the firm, including external vendors
  • Take constructive action with general direction from others; leader reviews complex and high-impact outputs

  • Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, or analytics (or relevant work experience). An MBA is preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects and adjust to changing priorities with minimal leader input.
  • Advanced analysis skills including forecasting, and moderate to complex modeling. Ability to complete mostly structured financial impact analysis such as total cost of ownership and return on investment
  • Works effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of accounting processes and financial statements required
  • Ability to summarize complex information and concepts and clearly communicate up to Management
  • Negotiation strategy/Negotiation experience is a plus
  • A proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required including the ability to utilize pivot tables, advanced charting, and advanced formulas.
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience using Peoplesoft and visualization software (Tableau) is a plus
  • Industry and best practice research skills are a must
  • Possesses intermediate project management skills
