SUMMARY The Report Writer/Data Analysis provides professional documentation search assistance to the Bureau of Trust Funds Administration (BTFA), including the Office of Trust Analysis and Research (OTAR).
This position is focused on queries of information systems, document research, search, collection, review, tagging/annotation, organization and information sharing activities to support the BTFA's work on the Boarding School Initiative (BSI). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Fosters an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract. Reviews existing policies, including the Paperwork Reduction Act, to write orderly and concise proposals for Information Collection.
Reviews existing proposals to ensure continued compliance with updated policies or other related developments. Conducts policy and subject matter research before and during the writing process. Ensures that technical and/or specialized information is translated into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
Prepares material for assignments, which includes planning, outlines and synopses. Recommends process improvements to improve timing and accuracy of the Information Collection proposal process. Conducts thorough fact-checks before submitting any work.
Conducts thorough reviews of written work for grammatical errors before submitting it for review. Ensures the logical flow of all writing produced. Attends feedback sessions and makes revisions suggested by the client.
Effectively and professionally interact with the other government contracting firms, government Program Managers, and the COR. Meet project deadlines, flexibility in changing project direction, and ability to maintain different projects at the same time. Travel may be required. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources.
Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years' technical experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Possesses or has the ability to obtain a Public trust clearance JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Experience with editing, technical writing and writing reports.
Ability to understand overall project and context, review content of technical documentation. Ability to relate results in a comprehensive report suitable for upper management/non-experts. Ability to utilize graphics to relay statistical results and/or information to upper management.
Ability to analyze technical/statistical query results and recommend insights and/or solutions for potential refining of results. Skilled proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (ie, Word, Excel Outlook, Project, etc.) with Microsoft PowerPoint a plus.
Demonstrated ability to develop and apply comprehensive solutions to client requirements/issues. Strong planning and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with solid presentation skills.
Ability to interact professionally with team members and clients of all levels. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to effectively work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and or boards of directors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
