Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?You will lead and manage the Data Intelligence practice and team for the Capital Markets Alternative Data and AI group working with alternative datasets for analysis of companies, and sectors. You will manage relationships with the Capital Markets front office, IT partners (QTS), Business SMEs with a focus on data analysis, data quality monitoring, reference data enrichments, backtesting and data aggregation, and KPI correlations. The role also involves planning, directing, and scaling the team deliverables to ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished. .

What will you do?Collect, analyze, and summarize data to derive interesting insightsApply research design techniques to develop data assets for investment debates leveraging primary and 3rd party vendor data (alternative data). Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.Monitor data collection, cleansing and analytics processes.

Analyze and interpret data using standard statistical tools and techniques to determine and communicate patterns or trends revealed in the dataEvaluate datasets based on qualitative and quantitative assessment criteria; Validate the quality and integrity of the data included in different projectsPerform time-series and correlation analysis between the company reported KPIs and alternative data factors generated.Develop data frameworks for reporting and dashboards utilizing RBC's infrastructure and toolsBuild data certification models and be able to present the same to research analysts, bankers, and other functional divisions.Work with business partners to understand business objectives and develop value-added products; alternative data product developmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to communicate with people in a wide variety of areas and at various levels from technical specialists to senior management.

Ensure the creation and ongoing maintenance of documentation for key projects including progress tracking, and reportingStay knowledgeable on emerging technologies, trends, and evolving industryAUTHORITIES, IMPACT, RISKRevenue generation thru New Business for Alternative DataInnovation, Big Data and cloud expertise; Alternative data experienceMitigate reputation risk thru AI driven Data Quality to ensure highest quality data and services are offered to client. Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activitiesWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveDegree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance/Economics, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology.
