Ingevity, North Charleston Chemical Plant is looking for a Millwright . Starting wages for this position are $32.69 per hour. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Prescription, Vision, Life Insurance, Accident and Sickness, 401k, Short Term Incentive, Vacation, 13 paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Candidates must have demonstrated safe work behaviors, have the ability to follow safety policies and procedures and participate in plant safety programs. Candidates must be self-directed and able to work independently or in a team environment. Candidate must be able to follow work orders and verbal instructions.

Candidates must be willing to work shift work and overtime when required.

Here is what you'll need to succeed in this role: ?

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Associates degree in industrial maintenance OR two (2) years of equivalent work experience in industrial maintenance required
  • Millwright experience to include:
  • Ability to install, rebuild, and troubleshoot pumps and other rotating equipment required
  • Installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of miscellaneous industrial equipment required
  • Precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and optical and laser alignment tooling required
  • Operation of general hand tools and power tools required
  • General Troubleshooting experience required
  • General understanding of preventive maintenance required
  • Operation of mobile equipment including fork-lifts, man-lifts, boom trucks preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings preferred

The hiring process includes drug testing, physical ability test, medical physical, and background check.
