Applied Memetics LLC is urgently seeking (1) motivated, experienced ServiceNow Developer at the senior level to support our Veterans Administration (VA) customer in Chantilly, VA. (Note: This resource can be remote if you live more than 60 miles from Chantilly, VA, and if you have previous, demonstrated experience working remotely.) U.S. Citizenship is required.
A ServiceNow Developer must be able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages. Must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments. Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary.
A Developer must have experience in analyzing customer needs and developing overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications. Must have experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.
The ServiceNow Event Management Developer should be knowledgeable in ITOM practices, to fill a critical program role. The core focus of this role is ServiceNow Event Management that will work with Discovery and Service Mapping teams. We are looking for a candidate who can communicate effectively, collaborate with multiple business units, is adaptable to change and will take the initiative to help refine the client's monitoring platform.
This role is critical, as more Incidents will be opened automatically via Event Management. The program is currently updating and consolidating monitoring and alarming platforms; the successful candidate will be able to take a leadership role in this effort from the ServiceNow perspective. This team is fast paced, Agile, Lean, and works closely with other teams in a matrix manner.
+ Understanding of Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management as it relates to ITIL+ Experience managing relationships, operating procedures and service level agreements with clients and coworkers+ Supporting Service Management tool suites including HP, BMC Remedy, CA, and ServiceNow+ Understanding of managing events generated from a monitoring solution and ends with automated remediation of an infrastructure issue. + Understanding of managing IT Operations Management Suite, ITOM applications, enabling service?centric operations suite management, configuring Event Management and Operational Intelligence. + Understanding of managing Discovery, navigating key Event Management application components (eg, Event Management Dashboard, Alert Console).
+ Understanding of capturing and recording events in ServiceNow. Generating meaningful alerts from events in ServiceNow. + Understanding of creating actionable tasks, such as incidents, from alerts.
Navigating key Operational Intelligence application components (eg, Insights Explorer, Anomaly Map). + Understanding of capturing and recording metrics using Operational Intelligence. Creating IT alerts from anomaly alerts generated by Operational Intelligence.
