We are looking for a User Experience Strategist who is passionate about agile, design thinking and service design and who will embed this in our teams and business processes.

Working with BCG's IT team your focus will be on how we transform into new hybrid ways of working where our consultants no longer have to be at a client office to deliver their work. We need you to envision a new way of working for both our employees and clients. We need you to be curious about how other companies and the industry is doing this and blend that with a deep understanding of our employees and clients as you help shape this new hybrid ways of working.

This role will provide the opportunity to work across multiple, high-visibility projects that support BCG's audiences.

WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The collaborator - who as part of the UX Centre of Expertise (CoE) will work across products, services and functions; we need someone who recognizes the need for broad engagement across the organization to arrive at the best design outcomes; as well as working with leaders to prioritize, define and weigh the level of impact versus effort
  6. The synthesizer - who has the ability to understand the organization and abstract complexity to simplicity where possible and appropriate
  7. The outcome-oriented - who understands that research is a path to an outcome, rather than an end in itself. Our work is to offer evidence-based guidance to the business
  8. The advocate - who can champion for our users and will have the skills, experience, credibility and soft-skills to negotiate on their behalf
  9. The educator - who can help the UX CoE in guiding our colleagues towards a more user-centered outlook
  10. The learner - who takes advantage of BCG being a learning organization and seeks to develop their skills and expertise continuously

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • 3 - 4 years relevant experience in a similar role
  • a degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, computer/information science, or similar, or equivalent practical experience.
  • proven experience of doing generative and evaluative research, information architecture and interaction design engagements, ideally for a variety of digital applications and/or physical and service experiences. (this should be demonstrated in your portfolio)
  • presentation skills, which can be demonstrated through the presentation of your interactive design portfolio.
  • familiarity with creative design thinking as well as good understanding of UI/UX best practices, information architecture, Gestalt principles, and design psychology.
  • an understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
  • knowledge of agile methodologies and ways of working at scale (Scrum, XP, DevOps ), and with the ability to engage in agile ceremonies
  • exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills
  • entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within rapidly changing environment
  • proficient in collaboration tools, including MS Office, Slack and Miro.
YOU'LL WORK WITH
  • as part of the globally dispersed UX CoE team to ensure that we continuously drive the best UX value and standards
  • across the agile tribes to support how they approach hybrid ways of working
  • closely with passionate engineering and product teams that are concerned about the creation of a great user experience
