We're looking for a customer-centric Solutions Marketing Director to help develop and lead the GTM strategy and execution for IHS Markit's Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) portfolio of solutions in our Climate & Sustainability business line. The Solutions Marketing Director will also support Global Cross-ENR energy transition solutions targeting a variety of clients and personas, and will play a lead role in collaborating with other business lines to drive marketing initiatives. The qualified candidate will be experienced in tying marketing strategy and programs to ROI, and will be comfortable speaking in terms of pipeline volume, velocity and revenue contribution.
Working with key stakeholders across the Energy - Climate & Sustainability division and marketing & communications team, and using market research, customer feedback and business priorities, you will develop compelling and content rich value propositions by target audience which will drive the GTM strategy for marketing communications into target segments
Implement, plan, develop and measure integrated global marketing programs to align with the Buyers Journey', including awareness, PR, inbound and outbound demand generation, pipeline building, sales acceleration and localization
Help grow and implement new digital inbound marketing strategies to drive further demand from online activity
Develop global sales enablement assets and implement training strategies to instruct sales on understanding target audiences, value propositions, buyer preferences, needs, and challenges
Define target Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) and track progress against those targets
Build awareness and generate qualified, sales-ready leads; partner with Sales to drive conversion of leads to pipeline opportunities and closed deals.
Evolve strategic alliance partner marketing relationships to increase visibility and drive end user demand for IHS Markit data/solutions via 3rd party platforms.
Provide leadership and support for the design, development and implementation of marketing programs; direct marketing activities, including marketing strategy development, planning, creative design and execution, and media buying.
Manage timelines and budgets and maintain effective communications and relationships with internal and external partners.
Manage a team to implement on the business and marketing strategy.
Communicate regularly with business stakeholders on marketing efficacy and identify areas for improvement.
Proven marketing leadership experience (ideally 7-10 years)
A strong strategic marketing related background and mindset.
Ability to create business cases and ensure marketing best practices are implemented.
Extensive experience within the power, gas, and/or renewable energy segments highly desirable.
Ability to run multiple programs tied to revenue in a growing market.
Volume or consumer marketing experience preferred.
Pragmatic Institute or Agile Marketing certified ideally.

For work locations in the state of Colorado, the anticipated minimum base salary for this role would be $115,000. Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the applicant.
