Job Summary

We seek a highly motivated and skilled Solution Architect/Product Owner to join our dynamic team and drive the successful development and delivery of software products that exceed our clients' expectations.The Senior Solution Architect (SA) works with prospective clients to capture functional and technical requirements, envision, ideate, and communicate software product solutions to clients, and work with other architects and engineers to develop an initial technical design. The SA then develops an initial product backlog, shapes an engineering team and required resources, and estimates the initial level of effort for the team for a minimally viable product or first release.

Finally, working with the field Client Advisors (Account Executives) and field technical advisors, the SA creates a compelling effect and project proposal to win software engineering services, positioning on value (not price), quality, and innovation. Once the engineering work is underway, the SA acts as the delivery lead/product owner, working with the client product owner and stakeholders to prioritize the backlog, effectively communicate changing priorities and impacts, and ensure the work being completed is of high-quality and aligned with the clients functional and technical needs.This role sits at the intersection between field sales, product management, and software engineering.

The right candidate will be someone who understands each of these personas' parts in an enterprise pre-sales engagement. They have worked as a Product Owner, Developers, Solutions Architects, or similar roles. Those with a combination of technical hands-on work, software product design, and pre-sales solutions will be best equipped for success.

Ensure a comprehensive understanding of client expectations.

Winning Engineering Services Deals: Solution, Scope, Estimate LoE, Propose, and Win engineering projects for Stratascale. Create compelling proposals and create Statements of Work for engineering servicesStakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the development team. Maintain open and transparent communication to manage client expectations and provide regular project updates.

Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with the client's priorities and updated as requirements evolve.Release Planning: Collaborate with development teams to plan and schedule product releases, considering scope, timeline, and resource constraints.User Experience (UX): Advocate for the end-user and work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, user-friendly software interfaces.

Quality Assurance: Define and manage quality assurance processes to ensure the delivered product meets the specified requirements and quality standards.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by collecting feedback from clients, development teams, and stakeholders to refine the product and development processes.

Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions about product features and improvements.Offering Development: Develop packaged branded offerings for common-in-demand client scenarios (AI-enabled applications, data pipelines, low-maintenance portals, etc)Brand Promotion: Conduct presentations for clients, sales teams, management, and other departments to drive Stratascale brandField Enablement: Provide education and guidance to the sales teams who identify and drive sales activitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience7+ years of Product Owner, Software Engineering, or Solutions Architect experience3+ years of experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)2+ years of pre-sales experienceRequired SkillsExperience solutioning, delivering, and leading large-scale application development and modernization projectsExperience related to Product Design, Architecture and DevelopmentExperience working with one of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with Databases like relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, etc.Experience with NoSQL Databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.

Unique RequirementsPosition requires frequent travel to attend conferences & visit client sites (20%)Additional InformationThe estimated annual pay range for this position is $210,000 - $280,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
