Our client, an exhibit and event marketing and fabrication company with locations all over the U.S. and world, is seeking out a new Project Manager for their Anaheim area location.

The Project Manager will oversee the internal fabrication and graphics production of new and on-going large scale projects for trade show installations. Responsibilities include managing kickoff meetings, scheduling, purchasing, graphics and CAD, and management of new production among other things. This position is technical in nature and requires knowledge of industry fabrication methods, carpentry, metal work, paint production, tension fabric, graphic production and other techniques.

Candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills in addition to strong written communication and computer skills. A degree is not required for this position but would be considered a plus. Trade show experience is required, preferably ten years or more.

Experience with automotive clients is a plus. Fabrication Project Manager This individual serves as the primary orchestrator of internal fabrication and graphics production initiatives. Their role entails meticulously scheduling and supervising all newly assigned production projects to ensure seamless execution.

Taking ownership of successful and precise production completion, the Fabrication Project Manager's duties encompass various aspects including occasional estimation tasks, drafting production work orders, active participation in project kickoff meetings, meticulous production scheduling, and adept management of internal departments involved in production such as CAD, procurement, graphics, manufacturing, and warehouse operations. Additionally, they oversee change order tracking and communicate change order details to the internal team, all while vigilantly monitoring the overall profitability of assigned production endeavors. While travel requirements are minimal, they may be necessary for projects demanding intensive production efforts.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside proficient computer literacy, are essential requisites for this role. Although a college degree is preferred, it's not mandatory. Performance evaluations for this position heavily emphasize overall production acumen and the successful completion of fabrication projects.

Furthermore, the incumbent's effectiveness in communicating with account teams and ensuring the profitability of allocated projects is closely monitored. Roles & Responsibilities of Fabrication Project Management Collaborate with Account Directors or Managers to drive estimates for new construction projects. Draft shop orders for all internal work within the fabrication and graphic production departments.

Assist in conducting project launch meetings in coordination with Account Directors and Managers to initiate production processes. Develop and manage overall project timelines and specific departmental timelines as necessary. CAD Management and Approval for New Construction Supervise CAD department activities to ensure consistency in drawings' appearance and format.

Provide finish callouts as needed and approve CAD drawings for design uniformity. Coordinate with the design team to ensure drawing accuracy and manage the setup drawing process. Procure all production-related materials and supplies and oversee order receiving and material tracking processes.

Maintain the graphics elements list during production and send proofs of information on all files to Account Managers for client approval before production. Assist the Graphics Department in managing subcontractors if required. Oversee the production process and the fabrication of items, ensuring proper setup labeling.

Communicate production issues, concerns, and details to Account Managers for team understanding. Manage crating processes according to best practices. Supervise warehouse operations to manage overall inventory for accounts as new items are added during fabrication projects.

Report any quality concerns identified in all production-related departments, warehouse operations, and account teams to appropriate managers. Communicate change order pricing and requirements to Account Managers, covering both recoverable and unrecoverable change orders. Monitor project profitability through accounting and Excel project analysis forms.

Travel to production-intensive shows or as required to fulfill overlapping requirements. Ensure all time worked is accurately recorded for project-specific tasks weekly in the company's web-based time tracking system. Enter all work run through the company's system into the web-based workflow system, including design work
